El Agavero Mexicano in Mount Airy

A nice sized Mexican Restaurant located in a strip mall. Service is always prompt and friendly. Salsa is awesome and they give you plenty of it. The Fietas are the best around, large portions and always on point.

Food was really good, service was great. Only regret was my chicken, beef and shrimp dish came with two shrimp. I would recommend based on the food and service.

A perfect restaurant in Mayberry. This is a must stop for us while we are in My Airy. This place and it's staff are a well established venue. We have enjoyed their food for many years. The loving family atmosphere is a genuine kindness. You will find multiple staff at attention for your pleasure. You won't have to ask, they are on top of their patrons desires. The food is fresh and served with a lovely presentation. The kitchens subtle use of cilantro gives a unique flavor. Much like a trip to a private home. Beside a grocery and Roses dept. store it's where we go before we head up mountain for a camping trip.

I have been to this place numerous times within the past few years, but I went about 2 weeks ago. Food was fine, as usual, but I got charged on my debit card twice. 2 charges of $27.22. So, basically I paid $54.44 for the ONE meal. I called and spoke with the manager, and he said he would check on it and call me back. Never did. Shocker there! I called again.... Same deal but this time told me to wait another day and a half, and call back, and he would give me a refund of one of the charges. I did. 2 charges still there and no refund. He then said he would give his bank a call to check on it, and call me back. He never called back, so again, I call him back. He said he wrote my number down wrong. How convenient. I then ask him about the refund and he proceeds to then blame my bank for all of this. The charge remains there TWICE. On THEIR end. He lied numerous times. I’ll be getting in touch with BBB. Won’t be back.

Yes they have pitcher Margaritas, it's not posted on menu. Food was plentiful, prices were great and service was very good. Would recommend.

Good food. The special hot sauce is very good. I don't know if they make it there or if it is bought and rebottled but it has a very good flavor. The service was quick and the waitress kept our drinks refilled. I will definitely go back. A friend told me they have a loyalty app you can download to your smart phone. The serving portions are also generous.

Super small portion sizes, and only 1 bag of chips for 3 to go orders. Not impressed. 🤬

My entire family has been coming to this restaurant since it opened my daughter is a teacher and she goes there with her school also and we’ve always enjoyed it until the last few weeks we’ve been calling in orders and getting home with them and the orders are messed up today was no exception my daughter called and told them about it and the girl on the phone was EXTREMELY rude then when my daughter got down there the manager on duty was very rude also!!!! We go there at least twice a week!!!! I don’t think we will be returning there, because of there attitude and the way they handled the situation the little girl that was cashier all but called my daughter a liar about the order when we called back until she took it back in and proved her wrong there this was very unprofessional I will say though it was not the usual respectful manager that’s in there it was a younger one.

Fun lunch/ supper with the family. We were seated and drink orders were taken quickly. When drinks and chips with salsa was served we provided our food orders. There are 6 in our party. Food was prepared quickly and it was very good. We received adequate refills and checked on to gauge our satisfaction several times. All is all a good visit averaging $9 per person.

These are the best margaritas in town they could use a little more liquor tho I will keep going until the drinks are BOMB! For now 3 🌟

It’s ok. Don’t have frozen lime margaritas which was highly disappointing. The mango margarita tasted highly processed. My dish was literally thrown together. Would never order it again. Hubs got something with chicken and bacon and he loved his. Would probably try again.

Very disappointed. This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant for a long time but tonight changed that. My server took my food back to have the shrimp cooked and that just made it worse and when she saw me putting it in a go box and asked if it was not any better, I told her no but I would just take it to my cats she thought it was funny. When the owner taking my money at the register, I was surprised he didn't say a word so I told him I was surprised how bad my food was, he couldn't have cared less. He didn't even say he was sorry. So the next time we want Mexican food, we will be trying the new place in town.
